"So Simple", musically continues the direction set by the album's first single "I'm Not Missing You", by having a R&B/Pop vibe to it. The song is basically based around the concept "less is more" and that life should be simple but we as human beings complicate it. This is illustrated by the lyrics present in both the pre-hook of the song and the chorus below.
